Telephone interpreting services connect you with live interpreters over the phone, enabling immediate, on-demand language support – removing geographic barriers and working in minute-by-minute billing.

A trained interpreter joins your call or conference remotely. Using either consecutive interpretation (speaker pauses, then interpreter translates) or by facilitating communication in real time, phone interpretation supports immediate conversation without in-person presence.

MCIS provides telephone interpretation in over 300 languages, including less-common ones, backed by skilled linguists who are trained, tested, and vetted through enhanced screening.

Telephone interpreting is ideal for urgent or short conversations, such as emergency services, customer support, helplines, and quick consultations—especially where speed and accessibility matter most.

MCIS offers immediate telephone interpreting, typically available within around 60 seconds of your call—charged per minute with no minimum fee.

While in-person interpretation remains the highest quality, telephone interpreting excels in speed and accessibility. Video interpreting offers 80–75% of in-person quality, while telephone comes in at approximately 30% of in-person effectiveness—but is often fast and convenient.
