Translator Mentoring

Language-specific mentoring sessions are an excellent opportunity to improve your translation skills and strategies.
In these sessions, you will be paired with an experienced translator working in your language combination. You can choose between the two options available below.

Option 1: Language-specific feedback on translation skills and strategies
This option is ideal if you would like to receive detailed written feedback by a
professional translator in your language combination. You will receive a short text to translate, and the translator will provide you with written feedback on your translation. You will also have an opportunity to ask any follow-up questions regarding your translation.

Format: Online
Cost: $100 + HST

Option 2: Online mentoring session with an experienced translator
This option is ideal if you would like to receive immediate feedback for your translation from an experienced translator and have an opportunity to ask any translation-related questions. For that, you will receive a short text to translate prior to the session, or you may bring one of your existing translations, and the mentor will review it and provide guidance and tips.

Cost: 1 hour minimum – $150.00 + HST
