CONTINUED COMPETENCE (CC) PROGRAMS FOR INTERPRETERS

About the Programs

The Continued Competence (CC) Series is a collection of training programs aimed at professional interpreters looking for opportunities to expand their interpreting expertise, acquire skills to interpret in a specific setting and/or to earn PDUs (professional development units) to maintain their membership in various language associations (e.g., OCCI).

The training programs cover a number of specialized topics relevant to working with specific clients or in specific settings. They offer candidates the opportunity to develop their terminology base, background knowledge, and interpreting strategies in a specific context.

These programs are held entirely online and are accessible 24/7. These are self-paced courses that allow learners to control their own learning experience.

The CC series is open to everyone with intermediate computer skills. Please check individual courses for more information on the content, registration, and price (some CC courses are offered for free).
