MCIS Language Solution invites you to join us for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) FY2021-2022!
About this event
After two years of social distancing, MCIS’s AGM meeting is back to celebrate the champions, organizations, or individuals across Canada who provide, rely on, or are impacted by language services. This includes language professionals, public service providers, linguistic and cultural community organizations, grassroots groups, and anyone passionate about equitable language access. Language access is a national issue, and to foster the change, we need to scale our work so that all Canadians can access quality information and services regardless of the language they speak or sign.
We are excited to return to in-person celebrations this year while also giving our guests an option to attend online. Join us to meet and mingle with our Board of Directors, senior leadership team, and other stakeholders. Food, beverages, and entertainment will be provided at our physical venue located at Ontario Science Centre, along with surprise gifts.
Join us to hear more about how we have spent the last year growing and transforming to better support the needs of those who face the consequences of language barriers. We will highlight how our organization has been investing in our workforce, our community, and the places where people live, learn, work, and play.
This year, Language Advocacy is the theme of our AGM. In the past two years, our work of filling the information gap has enabled us to see the importance of advocating for language access, learn from what’s long been neglected, and envision the possibilities and work still to be done. We have come a long way, have gained a lot of valuable experience and would like to celebrate language advocacy as a cause to be furthered.
We look forward to welcoming you!
