Close to 100 translators and interpreters attended the first ever International Translation Day event hosted by MCIS.

The event also saw an interesting panel discussion on the role of translators and translation in the intake and resettlement of Syrian refugees, as MCIS’ translators and interpreters have been instrumental in helping refugees make Canada their home.

Translators also took the stage to share several funny moments and bloopers in their career. Zyad Mohammed won the prize for sharing the funniest story.
